A battery powered, hand held polystyrene hot wire cutter. Suitable for hobby use. This unit is designed to cut low density polystyrene but has insufficient wire heat to cut high density polystyrenes and foamed plastics. The throat of the cutter has a 75mm reach sloping back to 50mm at the bend.
This model comes with spare wire under the plate in the screw off base. Batteries, (2xD size) are not included.
To make your batteries last longer, only switch on the polystyrene cutter just before use, and switch it off when each cut, or series of cuts, is complete.
